Christ Church of Orlando 1.0

Christ Church of Orlando is a spirit-filled, non-denominational church located in central Florida. Founded by Pastor Paul Valo, the church started with 34 individuals sharing a passion for worship and community. Initially based at the Colonialtown Community Center, the church soon outgrew this location and moved to "The Plaza Theater" on Bumby Avenue, before finally settling at its current landmark location at 2200 S. Orange Avenue in the heart of downtown Orlando district SoDo.

Since its humble beginnings, Christ Church of Orlando has witnessed sustained growth. To accommodate this expansion, the church has introduced multiple weekend service times while continually enhancing its programs and offerings to create engaging and relevant experiences for attendees. With an eye on the future, the church has acquired adjacent properties with plans for further expansion. A recent milestone was the completion and relocation to a new worship center as part of a larger building program aimed at maximizing impact within the community.

The church aims to create a welcoming and inclusive environment for individuals, families, and friends alike. The success of this approach is evident in the number of individuals who have rediscovered their love for community engagement through their experiences at Christ Church of Orlando, even after having felt disillusioned with traditional church settings in the past.

Pastor Paul:

Paul Valo hails from western Pennsylvania, specifically Monessen, a small steel mill town. From an early age, his musical talents shone through as he played the piano and sang alongside his sisters. By age 13, he had established his first church choir with over 30 young members under his guidance. This love for music and ministry persisted into his teenage years as he embarked on college studies at California State College, where he earned a degree in Applied Arts combining music and fine arts.

With a background encompassing roles such as Minister of Music, Single's Pastor, high school art, and music instructor over a decade, Paul Valo brings an array of experiences to his role as a pastor. A renowned bible teacher with a genuine pastoral heart, he has also been a featured speaker at conferences, a recording artist, and regular contributor to various publications.
